Week 5 - Glue and Cloth Continue...
In week 5, we had to take our tights off the chair, and use the shapes that it had formed to create 3D shapes on to the manican. I used my fabric off the chair to create wearable shapes to fit the manican. In total i created 10 different structures. Here are examples of 2 of the shapes i made.
Week 4 - Glue and Cloth Task
In week 4, we had to bring in 1ltre of PVA glue and nylon tights. Using these materials we then had to wrap a chair up in cling film and ontop of it use the nylon tights (that had been soaked in pva glue) to create shapes. Once the whole chair was covered with the tights/fabric, we then had to wait for it to settle ready to use on the manicans in week 5.
Week 3 - Paper Folding Large Scale.
In week 3... We began working on shapes on a larger Scale by using the small scale 3D shapes as a guide. I used a manican to lay out all my shapes to create 1 large 3D piece.
Week 2 - Paper Folding
In week 2... We were required to learn paper folding. I was given the shape of a triange and from this shape, i had to produce 8 different 3D structures incorporating the original triangle. Each shape had to be different by either adding new shapes onto or cutting out parts of the triangle. This is what i came up with...
